behind the driver's seat. there's the seatbelt wires, but also a black plug that looks like it should be hooked to something big. lots of wires going nowhere.

Did you mean passenger seat? (That's where the seatbelt relay junk is.)

You can cut all that out, join the big yellow and forget about the junk. Although it's a good idea to join all the brown wires because you could have some weird ground problems if you don't.

well, the wires are long enough that they could easily go behind the passenger's seat. but i found 'em behind the driver's.
