Thank God I was able to pull out an engine of my newly acquired 71 1.7 megasquirt and I was able to do it for less than 4 hrs. From clearing all electrical lines, fuel lines, cables, linkage and other parts before dropping the engine to a dolly.

I hope I can install it back after fixing the rear suspension console with the help of a good fellow 914world member who is going to do the welding job.

I just dropped and re-installed my engine for the first time too, and I also have MegaSquirt although I havent reconnected that part yet (doing that this week) and wiring on my wasnt nearly the mess that yours look to be.

Feel free to shoot me any questions. Odd that my engine went back in alot easier than it came out, must have got lucky..
