Thank God I was able to pull out an engine of my newly acquired 71 1.7 megasquirt and I was able to do it for less than 4 hrs. From clearing all electrical lines, fuel lines, cables, linkage and other parts before dropping the engine to a dolly.
I hope I can install it back after fixing the rear suspension console with the help of a good fellow 914world member who is going to do the welding job. ![]() ![]() |

Im in the same boat. Megasquirt is getting hooked up tonight and then praying she starts. I've had two dreams already about getting her out on the road to discover that I never put any oil back in it, so I have to remember that too.
My previous owner did a much neater job with the wires, but seemed to have cut corners in other areas. (Manifold and exhaust gaskets? who needs em?) Good luck! |
