Can someone school me on axle shafts on a '70/6? Are they the same as the 911? Can I replace the CV's on my car or do I need to buy a complete axle shaft assembly.

I don't have a /6, but I do have all the running gear from one. All I did was use /4 axles and cv's. I'm not sure if the axles are different lengths from a 4 to a 6, but I haven't had a problem since I've had the car on the road.
Someone correct me if I'm steering Keith in the wrong direction. Pete |

Pete This is exactly what I did a few years ago. I had some old -4 axles with junk CVs so I got new CVs from one of our members that modifies the beetle ones. -4 and -6 axles are the same other than spline count. Put the 914-6 axles/CVs in storage. Once installed no one will know anyway. Of course you re-use your stub axles. |
