![]() I picked up this 71 a few months ago, and have started a full restoration. It appears to have been repainted at least three times. The car was originally Metallic Gold. I'm going to try and get it to as close to how it was born, and will be shooting for a number 2+ car. It is currently at the media blaster, then off for metal work, and body/paint. Started working on the wiring harness. I had to cut down the snorkel tube about an inch and re-glue it together to make it fit better. I think it turned out pretty good. I even found some green duck tape to replicate the original.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After fishing the rear wires through the tunnel and snorkel, I noticed a bit of a problem. I ran the harness incorrectly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Luckily, it was easier to pull the front half back through to fix the problem. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ![]() Also, replaced the original markings under the dash. ![]() |

We're these #s pertaining to the 914 order, or the employees I d# , or ?? Awesome restoration btw ! Marty (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) |
