Okay, you have struck a nerve. Our 1973 911T with it's engine upgraded to 911E spec and correct MFI has an Alan Johnson twin pipe muffler that sounds much like that. The howl on acceleration and rasp on decel is intoxicating. It also allows the engine to pull to 7300 RPM whereas the stock single pipe shut the power down at 6600 RPM. My eldest son was playing in an American Legion Baseball Game when I pulled up to the field and downshifted to second, the game stopped and all eyes were on the Viper Green 911. My son was the hero.
