Well, my "quick 6" made it to Canada and back with only one small failure, the voltage regualtor. I ran on the battery the entire drive home with traffice some 5 hours. I am completely sold on Optima batteries now! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) As if I wasn't before. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Remember this 914 was a 914 1.7 just 2 weeks before this trip. I only spent 2 weeks converting this to a 914-6 2.2. The first pic is of my two most favorite things, my wife and my 914 in that order the morning of the 20th. Attached image(s) |

When up in Whistler (place rocks), there were 3 other 914's all 914-4's and very nice cars. All three entered the concours lite. I had a chance to meet 2 of the owners, but missed the owner of the middle 914. The painted bumper (red) one was an early 914 with a 2.5 and flared rear fenders. The flares were the stock fender stretch type and looked great. No doubt would have blown the doors off of my 914-6 on a road course. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
