I purchased her in Half Moon Bay as a parts car with damage. Since the completion of the repairs We drove her from MN to Moab last fall for the Red Rocks event. The spring we escaped MN in a snow storm and ended up in Palm Springs for the Route 66 event. The car is currently in Palm Springs tucked away in a garage for safe keeping. Sandy and I fly in the end of the month to pick up the car, drive to San Simeon for the WCR and then back to MN.
We were talking about all the cars we have the other day and the fact that we are kind of out of garage space. Sandy said to sell her 7 of 9 and put the money into one of our other cars. I said, Ya.. sure.. you betcha.. Rolling my eyes as I walked away. Then I thought, Hey, If I price the car around what you could purchase a rust repaired car for I bet I would get some interest anyway. Then I thought let's see where this journey takes her. So, some of you have seen the car. Some of you will see her at the WCR coming up. Your comments are welcome. About the car. This is a rust free chassis. Seriously, Rust free. You will not find a cleaner chassis. Check the build thread for the jack points. Really! I took the time to strip the 2 bad repaints off the car and have the original color made in single stage urethane. The car retains the fuel injection and runs good. What it needs: I have a set of tan seat that are nice that I will install before the sale. The black seats belong to another project. I purchased and scrounged 4 sets of tan seats to get a good original set. As we were driving around Palm Springs the speedo quit. It's either a cable or the speedo head. I will replace both before the sale. The ignition switch failed on the way to Palm Springs. I have one to install but with the car in PS and me in MN it's a little tough to do. So I will change it before the sale. As you can see the car is nice but as with all old cars there are always a few bugs to work out. But hey if you know us we roll with it and fix it as we go. The price is 17k. let's make a deal. I attached a link to the build thread. So there is nothing hidden here. You can see it all. http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...=104128&hl= |

Beautiful car, Rick! Thanks, I hate to even post it. I never sell anything. And actually you couldn't build this car for 27k. The first problem is finding a rust free chassis, Start there. I'm already having sellers remorse just for listing it. Sure, there are several little project to improve the car. That's part of the fun of ownership. |
