I am trying to sell my 914 and have had several people ask me about this "box" that they have seen in the photos next to the battery. The box they are referring to is the Control Unit. I have it ziptied onto the battery because I am not sure where it goes.
So, I have seen photos of other 914s with the ECU mounted onto the battery tray next to the firewall. However, on my car I have a air conditioning compressor and hose right in the way. Can anyone assist me in where this control unit goes on a 914 with an air conditioning unit? Any ideas? Attached thumbnail(s)

Dave is correct about cars with A/C. Installers did what they wanted so I would tell buyers they can put it where THEY want it.
