Can anyone tell how to test if the cold start valve is stuck open? Thanks The cold start valve should only operate when the ambient temp is very cold, and when the starter is engaged. Remove the valve and point it into a clear jar turn the switch on and see if fuel comes out when the fuel loop is pressurized .......if it does it is a leaker. If you want to test it for operation bypass the thermo switch and give it ground.....when the starter is engaged it should spray fuel into the jar. |
