Does anyone know where I can find a set up like this one? It is a custom car advertised in Canepa's collection. I am really interested in the centered le mans style gas cap and through hood look that this car sports...

You had also inquired about a fuel cell.
I think this one fits and it's cost effective. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rci-2161a/overview/ |

I want to also put the gas fill through the hood...gotta figure out how now once I get the cell in.... But a question I've always had: how is everyone sealing it so water does not enter into front compartment past the cap? In the first couple pictures, where does the water go that makes it by the gap around the cap? I really like Geezer and somd's versions, but I do have a set up similar to the one in TC's picture sitting on my shelf, far left one with the riser...just no 'handle' on the top of the cap. Just don't know how to keep water out. FYI, I am working on being able to sell a true, Fuel Safe built, fully compliant fuel cell that will fit in the stock tank location and hold potentially 16 gallons (I should know exact in a week or so and have more details). It's designed by 914 owner Mike Phillips and Fuel Safe. The Patrick MSP one holds only 10 gallons, but that won't work for me or anyone that runs enduro races. Unfortunately, it won't be cheap, but it may be an alternative for some. |
