Eventually I need to tackle this:
Underneath: I recall different threads in the past about how individuals tackled this (I think Palindrome thread removed the whole front fender), but I can't find them searching now. Anyone have a preferred thread for how best to scope and repair this little gem of a problem area? The more "See Spot run" it is the better... Danke... |

I think it was tomeric (sp?) who did the repair on a silver 6 conversion. Did not remove the entire fender but cut away rusted portions. Scotty b has also done more than a few so he might have pics and advise. You can see what the metal looks like under the fender if you go to cairos build thread. Personally, I would not remove the entire fender to repair the cowl area.

"Personally, I would not remove the entire fender to repair the cowl area" You'd just have Scotty do it... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) |
