Didjoo blow up a piston? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Once the piston is gone the rod will fly up and poke a hole in the roof...

Didjoo blow up a piston? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Once the piston is gone the rod will fly up and poke a hole in the roof... I think those pistons are a known issue. I had the same problem with my 2270. blew up the drivers side rear piston, rod came through the roof and destroyed the case. |

If you had iron cylinders (2270 usually do) you likely had Keith Black hypereutectic pistons, Nickies would be forged JE pistons. Herb was running JE/Nickies. |
