Hey everyone out there in the 914 world!
I recently purchased a 1973 Porsche 914 1.7l for my very first automobile project based on the uniqueness of the car and that it happened the very first type of car I got behind the wheel of (neighborhood friends car, not mine). As I get started down the winding 914 restoration road, I was wondering if there is anyone in the Denver area that could provide me with some local advice or just to connect with. Even for a cup of coffee or a beer. If not, well im going to have to lean on everyone else not in Denver for help so be ready. Ha jk jk. I have checked out this forum and glad to be a part of it. Thanks for looking. -Brett Attached image(s) ![]() |

I'm down in Littleton and an always up for something. I hope to have my silver car back up by the end of this weekend. I am over in lakewood but just moved here from englewood and still go there often if you would be interested in meeting up. It looks that you know a thing or two about the 914's. Unfortunately, the only projects i have done previously are oil and brakes so this has been a huge learning experience thus far. My first step is getting it out of the car and i think i am close. The engine is seized or frozen but i do know the starter works. Have you rebuilt an engine? any advice on getting it unseized? Thanks, -Brett |
