There is a 914 for sale on evilbay. The ad says its a 76 2L and that the HP rating is 95?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2489744200 Is that true? Seems kind of low for a.. well.. sports car? What gives? :-) |

QUOTE(Britain Smith @ Sep 17 2004, 02:42 PM) You should try a 1.7L...now that is some serious horsepower baby!! -Britain (Proud 1.7L owner) I'm with ya Britian... but how about this: my 1.7 is stock, tired, smokey, and bound to be down a bit on compression... to top that off I live at 6000 feet, which is something like another 15% loss of HP for altitude... and to top that off, I've lost first gear so I'm doing 2nd gear starts with the car.... I'm guessing 55hp to the rear wheels... and yet, I drive it to work everyday it runs because it is so much more fun than my more powerful reliable car. brant |
