Most of you saw the ABM car for sale a few weeks back. 800 miles later its new home is here in Pleasanton. Exceptional '74 chassis with steel flares. Project car - needs finishing... going to take it slow and assemble things right.
Starting with the interior, then connecting controls, electrical, oil lines, etc. May put LSD transmission in. Will post pictures as I go. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Update:
Mounted the exhaust clamps by extending the bolts off the back of the transmission. Tightened the accelerator cable and straightened the cable angle. Added oil. Added fuel. Turned motor. Distributor wasn't assembled right and was loose - too much play. Changed out Petronix back to points and condenser. Plugs were fouled and were finger tight. Installed new plugs and tightened them. MSD was wired wrong. Took 2 hours to figure out and fix. Was set up for an 8 cylinder. Got fuel pressure but the PO had piped 2 filters and pressure gauge. Showing 3 lbs at the gauge but I am going to eliminate the second filter. Motor started hard after significant effort but not for long. Carbs have big venturis for 40s and don't seem to match a 2.4. Pulled the carbs and sent out for a cleaning / rebuild. |
