5 bolt may give you a better selection of a wider selection of wheel sizes. Just going a little bit wider and slightly larger in tire size will make a world of difference in handling.
I've not seen the figures, but a 205/50 or 206/60 on a 7 inch wheel will about double the footprint of the original 165 on the 5.5 inch wheel. Sway bars? With the right wheel and tire combo, some sway bars and the suspension set right, you'll really be able to take advantage of the V8. If you don't do any drag racing, the gear box and ring and pinion should hold up fine. CV joints usually fail when you accelerate hard out of a corner and light up the inside tire. That's where traction will help a lot, not to mention learning careful application of that power. Enjoy- |
