Hey everyone
It is time to dedicate some attention to my, well, you already know don't you. I am looking to replace the original (yes original) carpet. I have been looking on Ebay and can't really tell what the quality is like of the kits that are available. I found one for 75.00 but the seller gave it a 5 out of 10. There is a supplier in OC califormia that I have spoken to that restores everything porsche and they have the original wool loop kit in original colors but that kit was over 500.00 Does anyone have a recommendation? I want to spend about 150.00 for a charcoal grey or black kit that will fit properly and look not like a crappy after market product until I can afford the real deal. Any thoughts? thx -jp- ps I have a 73 1.7 fuel injected model |

Three other additional sources to check -
Autos International in Vista World Upholstery in Camarillo or Ventura area Lakewell.com in Europe (Belgium IIRC) (IIRC your price will be less their VAT) All 3 have 914 kits & some may offer in a lower cost domestic loop pile, but be warned.... FYI - if you get a lower priced domestic materials set, then you'll probably be replacing it within a year or 3 due to wear if you DD or drive it a lot, so the more long term solution will cost a bit more - but less than new kits every few years .... even for a 73 1.7! Good Luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Tom /////// |
