I just got sticker shock trying to help fellow teener with a freebie long heater tube. I went to USPS and UPS for prices. The package was OVERSIZE (anything over 12"). Package was 4.4#. 32x10x7 Prices were for online shipping.
UPS (5 days) $26.05 Billed for 14# USPS (2 days) $34.60 I hate getting taken. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Somebody is making a whole lot of money here. |

With the part being free, $26 is sort of irrelevant. A FREE fedex account, it's tied to a credit card, makes for lower shipping costs. I think fedex policy now is no cash at distribution centers. Avoid using the fedex 'office stores' if at all possible. A 'premium' will be paid for the convenience.
