I'm planning on doing a full tune up this week: plugs, wires, cap, etc etc. Just curious what plug gap I should be running with a 2270 with Mallory Unilite dizzy and MSD 6AL box. Is the stock gap ok for that setup?

From my notes:
"How much to increase the plug gap when upgrading to capacitive discharge ignition (MSD) 6AL. As a rule of thumb, it is recommended to increase the plug gap by .005” - .010” followed by testing and tuning. http://www.msdperformance.com/uploadedFile..._tb_top_ten.pdf A lot of mentions of .045: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/lofiversion/i...php?t33232.html Using .038 at first" |
