Hi,
Can the pushrod tubes and oils seals be replaced from underneath with the engine still in the car? It looks like if I took off the exhaust I might have enough room? Thanks all. Steve |

Yes it can be done .... not that hard. I've done it a couple of times.
I don't remember if I removed the HE or not. Once you remove the rocker assemblies, you can get the pushrods out. When removing the rocker assemblies from the head, I use 5/16" bolts to hold the assemblies together. Push them through when sliding the rocker assemblies off the studs. Removing the pushrod tubes without crushing them can be a problem. I used a pair of channel locks to twist and pull. |
