Thinking WCR and leaving the car in the parking lot. Anyone have a smart alternative for an alarm?

IMO, not very useful. It isn't a GPS tracker. All those locater "tile" devices use bluetooth which means that the only way to locate the tag is if some other user that has the app on their mobile device is in within range of the tile (which is just a few feet) and their mobile device has network connectivity. So the odds are against you for ever locating the tile. A real GPS tracker is the way to go. That way you can tell if what is being tracked is moving and where it is. There are many of these types of devices. Here is an example of one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKv2q3bWxSE --- bill |
