When I bought my new 914 the PO suggested I look into getting Turbo Tie Rods...
What exactly will I accomplish by getting these? worthwhile upgrade? Lots of questions, newbie here!!!! |

The stock tie rod has a rubber mounted universal joint where it attaches to the rack, the turbo tie rods have a ball joint. Rubber flexes, metal doesn't*. Result? Tighter steering because there isn't rubber flexing.
* Yes, I know metal does flex. |
