Just completed reading a lot of information regarding RABY engines.
All of the information points from the Mild to Wild they produce a Quality and Bulletproof product. Does anyone out there on the "World" have first hand knowledge or experience with a RABY engine? Is the higher than normal acquisition cost worth the performance, reliability and drivability characteristics claimed by the Manufacturer. Also seems to be a quite lengthy wait time associated between the ordering of an engine and its delivery. Any information would be great Thank you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) |

And since you have 4 of them, you should really know their history better. The 914 was a joint venture between Volkswagen and Porsche and those two actually started an independent 3rd company just to make and sell the 914. The company was called "VW-Porsche Vertriebsgesellschaft". The only reason why 914s say PORSCHE on them on the USA is because of marketing (!) since US dealers were concerned that the car wouldn't sell if it was affiliated with VW. Anywhere else in the world, they didn't have the Porsche badge. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) |

VW-Porsche Vertriebsgesellschaft is too long. FWIW, I owned 2 MB's before a German vacationer told me they weren't called MB's in Germany but rather Daimler Benz.
