Is there any speakers that fit optimal in the stock 914 kickpanel speaker boxes?
Autobahn has a pair of 4" x 6" 2 way that look like they might fit. I already have "cut door panles with old 6" speakers so I was looking at placing speakers in the door panels and in the kick panels or picking up those custom kick panels that hold a larger speaker...6 " I think. There's gotta be someone out there who has done this so I don't have to engineer the project from the ground up. rob |

Agreed, I spent a FORTUNE on top of the line Infinity's in the stock speaker grills on my last teener.
It sounded like shit. Now, I bought the aftermarket speaker panels. I installed a set of Infinity Kappa 5.25 Component speakers. The grill to the speaker is 6.5 inches, so it loks 100% PERFECT. Plus, I installed the 1-inch tweeters in the doors, but they are surface mounted, so the only holes are for the wire, and the screws to secure the tweeters..... no hole for the speakers. I mounted the crossovers under the glovebox using some heavy duty double sided tape. Just my suggestion.. I'm happy with it. |
