$209 for the pair? Sounds too good to be true. Anyone have any experience with these?

Thomas, you're all good. I think most of us welcome vendor input, especially on an item we haven't seen/touched in person yet. I posted it because many of us are looking for a good LED option, and having a smaller vendor that we can rely on is important. The GE Nighthawks, etc are nice, but I'd gladly buy stuff from someone like you if it meant solid, dependable customer service like our other vendors (Tangerine Racing, PMB Performance, 914Rubber, etc). If you can live up to that, you'll be welcomed here with open arms I'm sure.
Any chance you'd be willing to send a pair of them to one of us so we can test fit in a 914? Our cars are pop-up lights, so the total depth of the light units eliminates many aftermarket solutions. For reference, the mounting depth of the light is even shorter than that of a Miata, so it's gotta be fairly compact. Thanks for your input and (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) ! -George I can understand that. Can you expand on the bulbs mentioned? I see the 4000 seems to have a pigtail and external electronic unit. These are often tough to locate for up and down light application, where as a straight H4 like shown on the 2800 can use a traditional "flat plug" with leads zip tied out of the way. If LEDs run cooler that HIDs etc, why all the need for heat sinks? Is it a by product of the power conversion etc?

Yes, I was thinking the VC2800 would fit yall's headlight buckets much better, LEDs do run cooler than HID's buthigh power leds still generate heat which needs to be dissipated by the aluminum heat-sink. |
