Another LED solution, ...seen on TheSamba Options

Finally grabbed my keys and went back to the garage to test and... They are TOTALLY plug and play, only thing I may have to do is slightly adjust the beam height (down) but pretty good at install. Only had done the one to compare:

Does anyone have a "template" for aiming headlights on a 914?

Height of headlights and distance of the car from the wall would help. I know all of my cars are way off (either too high or too low - one of them might be a little cross-eyed)

IMO Those Cibie H4 lenses are gold. I wouldn't get rid of them.

I know the bulbs our VC4000 kit uses would would perfectly in those lenses... Just not sure about the heatsink sitting in the back of the headlight bucket. You MAY have enough room...

Thanks, that's a good idea. Would the VC4000 bulbs also work in other 9003/H4 formats (such as Marchal H4 4x6" as used in 4-light fox-body Mustang)? What about other H4 E-code lights (like Volvo 240 OEM euro lights)?

I think there may be a market for your LED bulbs in a variety of OEM H4/9003 applications--I'd be curious to see how they worked in place of the 9003/H4s currently in my bride's 1999 NB Miata . . . .

Steve, Our VC4000 bulbs use the H4 base style, and the LED's themselves are laid out on the "bulb" in the same location/pattern as a filament style H4. (for proper focal length)

I have never tested them on a Fox Body Mustang since I do not own one, But assuming the car takes H4 Bulbs, and has juuuuust enough room behind the headlight housing for the heatsink, I would see no problem with them fitting.

Same thing for the H4 E-Codes, the VC4000 bulb works great if you have quality E-Code lenses like those Cibies or Hellas. I have tested our VC4000 bulbs with lower-quality cheap E-code lenses, and they did a terrible job at distributing the beam.

So I always Like to "warn" people who buy bulbs alone from us, that they must have a quality lens for them to work properly.
