I need information how to weld gearbox 914/-70, mixture or welding instructions (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Mine has some cranks near the starter motor..

Mag is hard to weld and it warps, you can do it with just gas welding, but you need the correct welding rod. Stuff has to be super clean.
You can only weld about a 1/4" at a time in a couple different places on the case, let it fully cool, repeat, until you're done. Bug drag guys often weld bars (gussets) to the bottom of the case, to keep them from breaking, it can take a couple of weeks to weld them in fully. |
