interesting appears to have the big bumpers I was under the impression those were 75-76 US only (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) cjl Ok - so that's an interesting question. Did euro go big bumper when little old California demanded it? Experts I'm sure will chip in, but yes I would have thought so. Lots of modifications to the shell happened to facilitate the big bumpers. Extra tabs to hold the end of the bumper as it wraps around, holes for the shock thingies etc Plus by then Porsche would have been planning the 914 demise / weren't selling loads in Europe anyway, ¾ ? went to the US. Why produce something special for Europe 911 went big bumper in 74, we just didn't get the Dolly Parton tits, same logic with the 914 I guess |
