I have the chance to buy a 2,2T motor.
Is this a good motor for a 914 6 conversion? Its not cheap so I want to be sure that its not wasted money. There is also a 2,4 available and its a bit cheaper. Advice required (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i1300.photobucket.com-17452-1472590389.1.jpg) |

You need a 914-6 flywheel, AKA a 1969 911T flywheel. I do not think the 2.2 flywheel is the same, but I could be wrong.
Here is one set of documents about the 914-6 conversion. Note that these were written quite a while ago, and some of the information is outdated, mostly when it talks about sources for parts and things that are NLA. But much of it is still true: http://www.pelicanparts.com/914/914-6_cons...ruction_kit.htm --DD |
