After a couple years collecting dust in the garage, I'm finally getting around to getting my track car back up and running. Life, kids and a kitchen remodel has kept the car tucked away in the garage looking lonely. With any luck I'll get it buttoned up for a track day on October 7th. The clock is ticking.

Glad to see you back on track, if you miss the Oct 7 race maybe you can make it to That Looooong Race ? Been stuck in the garage for the last 7 nights and haven't stayed up to date on the thread.... Engine is built on an early aluminum case. 2.5 short stroke. More or less same engine I had in there, less the damage from rod bearing failure. Previous motor expired after only 8 hours. Yay. Had to replace the crank and rods due to damage. While you're in there syndrome set in. Upgraded to Pauter rods, Aasco springs, supertec flowed oil pump and a bunch of things I've certainly forgot about after a couple years accumulating parts. Naturally with bearing fragments everywhere in the oiling system I had to make new Lines, replace the cooler, etc. |
