Hey Dave The car looks fantastic ! How'd you get the old paint and rust off ? Are those Campagnolo wheels ? Rory Hey Rory, thanks All the panels were stripped bare with 36 grit to bare metal. Sandblasted the rusty spots and welded in new where it was rusted thru. Had the front deck and engine lid media blasted to save time. But they were warped when they came back so I went back to stripping the paint myself. The inner fenders and trunks were all sanded down by hand to bare metal or the original paint. Dion and I spent one Saturday sanding the front trunk and cowl area. Tough on the fingers!!! Sand blasted the engine bay bare. The floors, outer longs, sills, door jambs, upper and lowers wheelhouse, front fenders and one quarter panel are new. They required less work of course. Those are repro's of PAGs. Wasn't that long ago that the car looked like this. |
