I was going to mount 2 stereo amps. I was going to run rca cables to them as well as power etc.,(of course). I was wondering where you guys mounted yours and if there was a preexisting hole you stabbed your wires through?
Edit: I was thinking front trunk but would be curious about other possibilities. TIA Erik |

Some people mount them to the wall in front of the gas tank. If you do so, be super careful not to puncture the fuel tank.

When I had my 72 I mounted here along with a crossover unit. Because it was an amp I ran a larger power wire from the amp to the battery within the eng comp. I ran the power wire along the inner long (passenger) side under the carpet. I drilled a couple 1/2" holes for speaker/power wires. My subwoofer was in the center con, no center gauges in that car which made it perfect for a speaker. I had midrange speaks in the stock location and tweets in the doors. Sounded pretty good from what I remember. |
