i have a '75 teener here...a 1.8...i bought a set of gently used SS heat exchangers from "a guy" here...in the picture...so, i think it may matter what year exhaust bits i get...'ja?
what gives? |

The hole is typ. for this version of HE's its common that all the places circled in red can / will be worn through rendering the the HE ineffective for its purpose.
You can see the collector section missing from one. The specific "J" pipes missing altogether. The Green you should check on ALL HE's for rot / leakage (with perhaps the SSI's an exception) Attached image(s) |
