(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Certainly not true in the NE or MW from what I've seen, perhaps out west? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Around here there is a lot of focus in the younger generation on older Asian imports; I think a good piece of that may be that the parts generally are much less expensive even for a special import car.

"Out West"....it is similar and I have 5 kids and the youngest is 21.

Cars now are component based. Something breaks you replace the entire component. Bumpers are ABS not chrome and metal. Controls are digital not analog. This is the world they are born into. It.s not the 70's anymore

Scarcity is what is driving the interest in our cars as they are somewhat affordable still......still. Thank God with folks like Restoration design the unibody replacements component parts are somewhat available...and affordable if you have metal working skills which are not being passed on or kids educated in.

The world is changing. During its day the 914 I thought was cutting edge.....that is what make it so interesting.
