I have reduced the size by cutting it down, and would like to finish it off with the same look where I cut it.
A thick varnish may work? |

You can't use anything solvent based, or it will melt the foam. Maybe a brush-on water-based urethane varnish from the DIY might work, but test a small area 1st.
