So, for those of you that have done the boxster caliper swap and have some miles on your car, how do you like the swap?
Also, have you done the fronts only, or front and rear? What master cylinder are you using? I'm just looking for some real world feedback from the cars that made it off the jackstands. |

Liking it so far - but early days for me, only a few hundred miles on the car. I intend to track the car occasionally (track days, not wheel to wheel) once the engine has seen some more road miles. Brake feel is good now the pads are bedded in. Definitely need to address the M/C and rears to get a decent balance. my set up is: front: Boxster calipers, vented disks rear: '88 Carrera ATE calipers + vented disks e-brake: Tangerine racing cable adapters (uses 914 standard cables), '88 Carrera internals M/C: 19mm Prop valve: Wilwood The vented rear disks are probably overkill but the GT's used them - so they look "period correct". I also like the fact you can run 15" rims without clearance issues ;-) Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() ![]() |
