Received my Manual throttle assembly from 914 Rubber and it looks great! But no specific instruction regarding the “Shark Fin” and I have not seen a real one up close. I understand where and how the lever and rod go that's no problem.
Did some poking around here on the site (IMG:style_emoticons/default/type.gif) where I thought I might see pictures but I did not see the small “shark fin” and how and where exactly it goes on the gas pedal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Does anybody have a good picture of the "Shark Fin" installed either real original 914-6 or 914 Rubber version? Of course I had just got all the pedal cables hooked up and adjusted when I received the assembly not understanding how the hand throttle actually worked. I’m thinking the whole pedal assembly has to come out. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) “Shark Fin” is on the far left. Thanks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/white914.jpg) |

Here you go, I tucked the corner of the wood template into the leaver on the point where the flange changes direction
I assume 914 rubbers fin is exactly the same dim / shape. Looks very similar Real fin has a dimple for strength / held on with a couple of small spotwelds All dims in MM, dimension to the other fins corner is 55mm |
