Sounds like a normal tail shifter. But you really have to replace the bushings first.
My first car was a ‘71 - 914 so I’m used to the vague shifting. I taught my son how to drive my 71 when he was learning how to drive and now he can drive any car. The tail shifter will always have slop and rebuilding the trans does not guarantee better shifting. |
