Group 35 is what I used, probably because they didn't offer a 34R 10 years ago or possibly because the 34 was just a tad too long to fit the battery tray. Edit: just checked, the 42 size battery is 9-1/2" long. That's why I went with the 35.
WOW those are expensive today. I paid $140 back in 2008 for my Optima. If you get a red top Optima, be sure to get a Battery Tender specific for AGM batteries to keep it charged if you don't drive it every day. |
