Recently the brake fluid reservoir started going empty in a night or two.
Today pulled the master cylinder that was only 3 years old to the month. Started the day by pouring some fluid into the reservoir then watching for the magic drip to arrive. It appeared at the front grommet and was flowing quite quickly. After removing the m/c I pulled out the grommets and inspected for proper seating from the last install and all looked good. This means that it was simply the rubber had shrunk enough to allow the fluid to pass. Maker Uro. I replaced it with the 914 Rubber ez install m/c that I had purchased during the group buy. Went in WAY quicker than the last time but it still is very tight work. Tomorrow comes the dreaded bleed. |
