Like good mechanics and metalworkers, we realized that real tool and die guys are not coming up through the ranks to replace our current guys, and we needed to train and develop from within. NIMS accredited 4-year course. They are well paid through the program, work with all new, apprenticeship dedicated equipment along with classroom work. There is a repayment requirement if they leave the company prior to a couple years after graduation. We spend a bit over a million a year on the program, but have graduated several classes and are reaping the rewards of the investment. |
