I had a helper run through the gears while I told him where and how to turn the shift rod. Just thought it interesting to watch. Here it is before the adjustments were made. You can see I wasn't quite lined up in the 2-3 plane correctly.

The car has (front to back):
* Rennshift
* Tangerine Racing firewall bushing
* Delrin (non-oval) shift coupler bushings
* SiBronze side shift bushing
* Stock cup bushing

I’m slowly moving the shifter forward and it seems to be helping, but soon I will be beyond the center of the shifter (towards the 2–4 plane). First gear never binds up when the car is off. I’m pretty sure I’m perfectly centered left to right.

The transmission has been rebuilt and verified to be good bye the one and only Dr. Evil. This problem existed before the rebuild. Sometimes first gear just slots right in perfectly...
