Need to replace my passenger side rear wheel bearing. I've got the cv axle off the car and the big 30mm nut and inner stub axle that the nut goes on off as well. 2 questions
1. How do you get the outer wheel hub and wheel bearing off the car. Can this be done with the rear control arm still on the car? 2. Once these part are off does the bearing and outer wheel hub have to be pressed in? Do I just need to take the control arm off and get a machine shop to press the old parts out and new ones in? Thnx L |

It does get pressed (or pulled) apart, and pressed together.
It can be done with the trailing arm on the car. Usually by heating the arm and freezing the bearing, and then working quickly. Some prefer to just remove the trailing arm and take it to a press. --DD |
