input needed...
someone at work has been unable to sell their '82 930. Baby on the way and they just lowered the price from 20 to 15 K. 67K miles, repainted grey in lieu of original burgandy (pretty good job tho). GREY market car. Thought I might offer the guy $13K, drive it around for a year, and sell ot for 15? If it was not grey market I think it might be worth 20? Or take the motor out and put it in Tiggr? Anyone have an opinion? |

Butch, if it's Grey market, make sure that you get all of the required paperwork with it: D-O-T, bonding, name of federalizer, etc. Grey cars required the addition of door beams, headlights, tail lights, emissions equipment, etc. I believe that part of the deal also allows D-O-T to randomly inspect the car for these items...and confiscation may seem far fetched...but legally their call . I've got one of the last '79 US cars, and it's a thrill ride ! |
