Should I use a little heat at the case halves to remove the cylinder hold down bolts? The case halves are not being reused. double nutting the bolts for removal. Removal all other studs will be done the same way. Thanks Jon

We use MAP gas. 2-3 minutes on the aluminum around the stud. Doesn’t hurt the case.

Case was ruined by the PO tightening the oil pick-up too tight and breaking the hold down inside the case. Was a good early 1.7 case. Picked up a good 1.8 case here from an earlier add. Jon |
