Yes. They sell a high amp alternator. The stock one on a 3.2 is just adequate. My shop has done a bunch in 911s. Pricey but well done.

I'm not a center console guy either. I think they are "unsportscar like". A rather bulky and intrusive way to add 3 pretty much unneeded gauges.

OTOH, this is a much better way to add the evaporator than the clunky under dash units. The fully enclosed console shown is much more attractive than the open one that came as an option.

The best solution is cloth seat centers, as I recently discovered with Scheels.

Oh, and amen. I thought I might want A/C, but not this much.

(Now, if a system could be done in the front trunk and run through the normal dash vents—and particular if said electric A/C system also avoided the need to spend thousands to get heater boxes, I might be back in the hunt. Then again, cloth seats are pretty wonderful....)
