Thinking of getting a 3.2 or a 993 3.6. If using the factory 914-6 engine mount will I run into any clearance issues around the crank pulley area?
I know of a few other issues that I may encounter. For you 3.2 and 3.6 guys out there any words of wisdom before I jump into this? |

Here is a 3.6 with a stock mount unmodified. As others noted, only room for single belt. My conversion already had the stock mount installed. If I were starting from scratch, I would use the style Bob Saville or Patrick Motorsports offers. Looks much easier/quicker to drop the motor. The problem with those above mentioned mounts is that it mounts the engine about 3/4" lower in the chassis thus making the seals not able to meet up.. Then you also can't use a stock style oil line set up. |

Then you also can't use a stock style oil line set up. I have my nose dropped close to 3/4" and I think my seals fit better. I have be sure to hook them over the tin edge when I install, but they stay perfectly in place. I can't use the stock oil pipe as I made my own mount which is much like a RJ mount. |
