'74 2.0 901 side shift
I had it in a jig, hit it for a few minutes, no luck - then put it in a press until the jig broke. Took it to a machine shop - he brought it to 6000 lbs before his jig broke. Told me to cut it off or heat and more pressure. I thought I would come here for guidance.......perhaps a vintage Porsche mechanic in the NE area? Help! |

So, basically, you just needed a bigger hammer.
It's like my father's advice: If it doesn't move, hit it with a hammer. If it still doesn't move, hit it with a bigger hammer. If it breaks, well, you needed to replace it anyway.... |
