hello 914 experts,

Need some help before I start programming my ecu. I have an LS6 engine and a boxster s transmission.

Does anyone know if i can use the vss sensor on the rear of the boxster s transmission?

I know there are a few different types of signals or pulses or what that rate is so I can convert it?

Thabk you

I don't have Porsche specs, but VW is usually 8000 pulses per mile (same suppliers) and GM 4000 ppm.
4000 ppm is the most common for asian and everybody else.

Usually square wave and trailing edge for the signal.

Shouldn't need it for the ECU unless you added cruise control, or on an automatic it kicks up the idle speed when it detects motion.
